We’ve heard lots of auto executives say it’s only a matter of time before China’s impressive EV brands hit U.S. shores. Now the country’s Geely Group is saying the quiet part out loud.

The carmaker is planning an announcement about a U.S. launch in the next 24-36 months, a Geely executive told Autoline Network at CES in Las Vegas.

Americans already have access to Volvo, Lotus and Polestar—all Geely brands—but none of its homegrown Chinese brands like Zeekr and Lynk & Co. Those could come next.

For a deeper look at Geely and what a U.S. entry could look like, check out Andrei Nedelea’s story below. And InsideEVs is on the ground in Vegas too, so we hope to learn more from Geely soon.
