Rivian isn’t just betting on an electric future; it’s mapping out an autonomous one. The company plans to deliver level four self-driving capability to its upcoming R2 crossover, eventually. That means hands-off, eyes-off, fully autonomous operation, as you get in a Waymo robotaxi today.
To do that, Rivian will build its own AI-oriented chips. The company spelled out its full roadmap during its Autonomy & AI Day, and we have the full rundown for you below.
