Saudi Arabia’s first homegrown electric vehicles look like they belong to a sci-fi movie. The Ceer Exobot SUV and sedan are radical, wedge-shaped EVs with gullwing doors. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly had a say in the final designs.
They also ride on an 800-volt platform and are equipped with 112 kilowatt hours of battery capacity that delivers 416 miles of range on the sedan and 348 miles of range on the SUV, albeit on the more optimistic NEDC cycle.
Don’t expect these to arrive stateside anytime soon. They’re mainly for the kingdom, and if they ever make it to full production, we’ll be keeping a close eye on what the early reviews say.
