We’re getting close. The Rivian R2 is set to launch within the next month or so after over two years of waiting. We already got pricing information. Now we have a real configurator.

Of course, if you know the Rivian business model, it won’t surprise you to know there aren’t too many options. You can choose your trim level, whether or not to get Autonomy+, and your color. That’s about it. And, tragically, the best color isn’t coming until next year.

Here’s what else I have for you today:

  • We sit down with the CEO of Ionna on this week’s Plugged-In Podcast

  • The Volkswagen ID. Polo GTI is here, and VW wants to make sure it lives up to the name.

  • BMW and Mini EV owners can get special pricing at Ionna rechargeries.
