It’s a Volvo-themed newsletter today, at least 75% of it. That’s because it’s a huge day for the Swedish automaker with the reveal of the new EX60, its most advanced car yet. Volvo’s EV efforts so far were middling at best, but now that changes with the electric alternative to the popular XC60.
The EX60 is massively improved from current Volvo EVs. It rides on the new SPA3 software-defined vehicle platform, gets new batteries that deliver up to 400 miles of range and its 800-volt architecture allows you to add 173 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging.
Here’s more from today’s reveal, plus a Renault milestone:
Why the new EX60 gets more range and a larger battery than the EX90.
The EX60 one-ups the Rivian R2 and Tesla Model Y with a unique feature.
The Renault 5 is massively successful, with 2025 sales jumping 72% in Europe.
