Volkswagen is quietly becoming an electric vehicle behemoth. The automaker just crossed two million electric vehicle sales globally. And that's VW brand numbers, not counting Skoda, Audi, or any of its other siblings.

Yes, it's been a bumpy road with software headaches, a sluggish U.S. presence, and a tough China market. That means there’s plenty of work left to do. But the sales numbers suggest that the automaker’s turnaround efforts are indeed working.

Here’s what else is on the menu today:

  • The Hyundai Ioniq 5 had its best sales month since the EV tax credit expired, a sign that EV demand is bouncing back.

  • Toyota’s new RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid is actually cheaper than the outgoing version.

  • The new BMW i3 will be electric equivalent of the 3 Series sedan. Here's everything we know so far.
