If you've ever driven the Jeep Wrangler, you'd know that it's fantastic off-road, but not the best on pavement. Its unmistakable Jeep charm is also why it has continued to be popular in the U.S. for years. Now with the Recon, Jeep is bringing all that off-road prowess into the electric era.

Mack Hogan drove the Recon in California, on and off the road, and found it to be flawed. It's more expensive than the Wrangler and not as capable off-road. Despite that, it has a lot going for it, including removable doors, supercar-like acceleration, nice highway performance, and the visual charm of yesteryear Jeeps.

That and more in today’s edition of The Update.
